Palmy Days

A. Edward Sutherland | 1931 | ★★★★
The playful assistant to a crooked clairvoyant (Eddie Cantor, excellent) lucks into a job as financial adviser to the owner of a large bakery. However, leaving the aberrant grip of his former employer proves more difficult than he would have hoped, with the sinful psychic determined to employ his assistance in robbing his new boss blind. Throw into the mix a couple of love triangles, several song and dance numbers, and more great gags than you can count, and the recipe for mirth and merriment is complete. Delightful.
